video: operation cut
projection / geotope engelsberg_winzendorf
a torso which shows the operation scar shortly after an upper arm surgery
is projected into the smooth surface of a former quarry. the smooth surface
of the rock wall originated from the demolition process by means of rope saws.
this incisions in the natural geology of the landscape reflect as an analogy
to the stiched wounds of the projected human arm.
the position of mankind, its approach towards nature, the resulting
consequences for both and the permanent discourse between
anthropocentric and physiocentric positions are the content of the work.
